As far back as I can remember, I’ve been compelled to create. From Legos as a kid, to logos as an adult, woodwork or web work, making things is always extremely rewarding and I’m forever addicted to it.
Receiving a degree in 3D Animation from the Art Institute in Denver, I was captivated by the idea of transforming a flat image into one with shadows and depth, allowing the viewer to see into it, rather than just looking at it.
Years later, as part of the layoffs during the pandemic, and after a lengthy development process, I expanded on that original idea to create something new. By blending various artistic techniques and methodically painting thousands of raised acrylic dots, I create dramatic images that provide a unique visual experience and the illusion of depth.
Born and raised in New Jersey, with a quick 16-year stop in Colorado, I continued west and eventually landed in sunny San Diego. When I’m not experimenting with new art styles, you’ll find me noodling on guitar, hiking, biking, fooding, and endlessly aspiring to learn anything and everything.
I hope the art you see makes you think, and what you think makes you see.
